The launching ceremony and theme song release conference of the movie "Insufficient-sense" was held in Xiamen on March 19. The movie will be released on May 25, National Mental Health Day.
The movie "Insufficient-sense" was originally written, scripted, directed, and had its theme song written by Chen Lichen, a 14-year-old junior high school student in Yinchuan Xiaokongming School. The story tells of Xiaowang, who repeatedly fails in reality and attempts suicide multiple times. On his fifteenth attempt to lay on the tracks, the train happens to be suspended, and he enters a dream... In the dream, he meets a fortune teller and a kind person, who know that Xiaowang actually desires a true rebirth instead of suicide, and are willing to help him achieve it at the cost of their own lives. Xiaowang then sees reality through his dreams, riding on the dreams as a horse, and becoming a confident and capable young man.
The film answers the problems of adolescent mental health that the whole society cares about in a absurd artistic way: Adolescents may not be mentally mature, but they are full of dreams for the future. When they are confused and depressed, what they need is not simple or even rude "prevention" and "blocking", but timely tolerance and deep love.
Delegate Feng Yuxiao, a representative of the 19th National Congress and a member of the Executive Committee of the All-China Women's Federation, delivered a speech at the press conference. Renowned writer Zeng Jixin, a national first-class writer, believes that the film "Insufficient-sense" integrates reality and dreams, with a unique concept that is captivating. From the character Li Chen, he sees the extraordinary performance of young people and the future of artistic brilliance.
According to the introduction, it is reported that student Chen Lichen completed a 130,000-word novel "Abnormal" in November 2022, which is planned to be published in the near future, and will be serialized on his self-media platforms such as Weibo and Toutiao under the account "Chen Lichen for Teenagers".
On the morning of March 19, 2023, the production team of the movie "Insufficient-sense" cooperated with Fujian and Ningxia provinces held a press conference in Xiamen to release the theme song "I Ask You". The lyrics are full of philosophy and insights into life, with an elegant melody, attracting widespread attention from the industry and the media.
In the movie "Lost and Love", the theme song "Who am I Talking To" sings: "Who said that people are being watched by heaven; who said that the world is always the same. There is no such thing as what you say it is; there is no such thing as what you say it is not. Looking back on its shortcomings, insights into life; all things have spirits, the vicissitudes of life. I ask you, who can say, who dares say, who knows." The lyrics are full of philosophy and insights into life, and what's even more worth looking forward to is that almost every line of dialogue in the movie can be encountered in real life.
This film is created, written, and directed by Chen Lichen, a 14-year-old junior high school student at Yinchuan Xiaokongming School. It not only reflects the perspective and growing mindset of a young teenager, but also embodies a high level of professionalism in filmmaking, profound ideological connotations, and even philosophical reflections, which have been highly praised by industry professionals and garnered attention from the news media.
